A photo of Pope Francis in drip went viral over the weekend. He was spotted in a white puffer jacket that went mega-viral on social media. Unfortunately the image is not real. It was made using the AI art tool Midjourney.

When word spread out through the internet that the image was not real, many were surprised as it has become difficult to tell apart real images from Ai generated ones.

The creator of these images is a 31 year old construction worker from Chicago who goes by the names Pablo Xavier. He did not disclose his last name as a way of avoiding to bring attention to himself.

Pablo created these images when he was tripping on mushrooms and thought they were funny so he posted them in a Facebook group called AI Universe then later shared them on Reddit. Little did he know he would go viral!
