With fire in his voice and roots in resistance, Angelo Rascool returns with a powerful new single, “Réchauffement,” the title track from his upcoming album, out June 27, 2025. Fusing reggae, African blues, and deep lyrical truth, the song is more than a groove — it’s a warning.

Originally from Benin, now based in Le Mans, France, Angelo has spent decades crafting soul-stirring music through his project Jamafrica, a journey born in West Africa and shaped by encounters across the continents. Alongside longtime collaborator and guitarist Nano, Angelo channels a lifetime of movement, memory, and message into this latest release.

Réchauffement” is a reggae of alert and truth,” says Rascool. “It was born from the memory of a Béninese coast swallowed by the sea — of lands cracked dry or drowned, of farmers’ voices crying out.”

The track balances luminous reggae melodies with a heavy, unflinching subject: climate change. Sung with raw conviction, Angelo’s voice carries the pain of lived experience — and the hope that speaking out can still make a difference. In a world spinning toward environmental collapse, “Réchauffement” is both protest song and prayer.

The full album, also titled “Réchauffement,” is an incandescent offering from an artist who has never shied away from truth. Across its tracks, Angelo reflects on struggle, survival, and the need for unity — all wrapped in the warmth and wisdom of his sound.
