Llanllechid, North Wales – July 2025

Meet Efan Electro, the 10-year-old prodigy from the edge of Eryri (Snowdonia) who’s spinning more than just tracks — he’s shaking up the Welsh music scene with his debut single, “Dyheadau (Radio Edit)”.
Already a three-year veteran behind the decks, Efan (real name Efan Henri) is proving age is just a number when it comes to talent, drive, and vision. But this isn’t just another “kid DJ makes good” story — Efan is on a mission. In a genre where Welsh is rarely heard, he’s stepping up to put his language front and centre on the dancefloor.

“I love DJing and producing music, and I want people to hear Welsh in dance tracks too — not just rock and pop,” says Efan. “It’s my language, and it belongs in modern music as much as anywhere else.”
“Dyheadau” — which translates to “Aspirations” — is a punchy, high-energy track bursting with classic house vibes and fresh electro flair. It’s not just a first release — it’s a statement. And early signs show people are listening. The track has already started gaining traction on social media and is turning heads among fans of both Welsh music and electronic dance.

Born to Perform
Efan fell in love with electronic music at just 7 years old. By 8, he was playing Welsh festivals. And now, at 10, he’s sharing lineups with legends like Judge Jules. With a home studio setup and guidance from mentors in the UK dance scene, he’s building something real — and fast.
His recent booking announcements include major UK festivals Kendal Calling and Lakefest, where he’ll be one of the youngest DJs ever to perform. Expect big crowds, bouncing beats, and maybe even a few fans asking: “Wait — he’s HOW old?!”
Language, Culture, and Basslines
There’s a deeper layer to Efan’s work, though. Growing up in a Welsh-speaking community, he knows firsthand how rare it is to hear the language in clubs or on dance playlists. By writing and producing music in Welsh, he’s joining a new wave of young artists who are keeping the culture alive — and making it feel more relevant than ever.
It’s music with purpose — but also music that slaps.
